A Note about the Bridges Candidates Running for Election
Travis Nutthall : I attribute any success I have had to good people around me. I started a water purification company out of my garage from scratch and built it from a small local company to a national company with international manufacturing. I was responsible for finance, manufacturing, sales, marketing, etc... However, I knew I couldn’t go it alone and have always sought to listen and surround myself with dynamic people. In serving the community I will employ the same leadership style. My personal life is the same, being blessed with an amazing family that looks forward to many years in The Bridges.
Julie Simek : I am running for re‐election to the Board. We’ve accomplished a lot with replacing several vendors, creating committees and involving homeowners. I bring to the Board a balance of knowledge and genuine passion for our community. We receive no pay for what we do. We do this because of a commitment to creating a better place. Outside of the Board I have a hubby and three dogs and work as an HR Manager for a crisis organization providing a service to those in Arizona that so desperately need resources. Thank you for your vote!
Ryan Everett : My family has loved living in the Bridges for 4+ years. I am the Director of Business Development for a Gilbert based company. I’ve previously served on a number HOA boards and helped as their voice of reason and logic, not only for the needs of the community, but to bring unity—which we need. I’ve been involved in several industries that qualify me to lead, such as Construction, Landscaping/Maintenance, and Electrical, working with 3rd parties, utilizing RFPs, bids, deadlines and specifications. With my experience and listening ear I request you to place your trust in me on our board.
Darren Shaffer : I began my own business 22 years ago. In building my team I developed skills in marketing, finance, customer service, and budgeting that I can leverage in my role as a board member. I have three reasons for running for the board: to bring common-sense solutions to the community, invest in the community’s future, and stand for the values of our neighborhood. We have made great progress and I feel this election is about continuing in the right direction. Together we can beautify the neighborhood while strengthening a sense of community. Please consider me to represent our community’s interests.
Bryan Nelson : My wife and I purchased our "forever home" in The Bridges two years ago. While on the landscape committee, I've become frustrated with problems we continue to have with the lakes, dead plants and pests. With my experience from the construction industry and the bid/ procurement process, I'll seek accountability from our HOA vendors and management company, and work to make sure we get the highest quality services for the best price.
John Harrison : As a current board member serving as your President, I would appreciate the opportunity to continue working with the board and homeowners to improve our community. We continue to face challenges with communication, landscape, sinkholes, and funding. I believe holding our vendors accountable and proper vendor management will improve our costly neighborhood issues. I’m confident my professional background leading Service and System Implementation organizations, with an industry leading company, will benefit our community. Thank you!
